After being fired by the company’s management, one of Raja Passenger Train Company’s contract workers ended his own life by jumping onto a railway track and being hit by a locomotive.
He was named as Mr Sedighi, a 58-year-old worker with more than two decades of work experience. Due to the policies of the Raja company’s management – especially Mr Bakhtiari, the CEO of the company – he was fired on the pretext of not needing his labour-power.
