Yaser Ahmadinejad, a victimised oil worker, is still not allowed to return to work. The management of the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) and the Iranian regime suspended him after he recorded a video message in June 2024. In it he respectfully voiced the contract workers’ basic demands, including a call on the regime to pay them their approved 35% wage rise.
We strongly condemn the harassment of Yaser Ahmadinejad and all other labour activists in Iran. We demand that all charges against Yaser are dropped and he is allowed to return to work.*
