Amin Masouri

Amin Masouri, a writer and researcher, has been sentenced.

On December 6th, the Iranian regime’s court sentenced Mr Masouri to one year in jail and two years of internal exile in Sarkhas (in Khorasan Razavi province).

The regime has charged Amin Masouri with “propaganda in favour of groups or organisations opposed to the Islamic Republic of Iran.” In court it was also mentioned that Mr Masouri is “beyond correction”. He was given 20 days to appeal.

Mr Masouri, a resident of Khorramabad in Lorestan province, has been arrested a number of times before, including for condemning the Iranian regime’s crackdown on protesters in the autumn of 2022.

The Shahrokh Zamani Action Campaign strongly condemns the arrest and continuing harassment of Amin Masouri.
