Haft Tappeh strike: 27th day – protest outside Shush Labour Office

Today, July 11th 2020, is the 27th day of the latest Haft Tappeh strike.

The following is a short statement published on the Haft Tappeh Sugar Cane Company workers’ independent channel on Telegram.

The twenty-seventh day of the Haft Tappeh strike today, Saturday, July 11, 2020

The twenty-seventh day of the Haft Tappeh workers’ strike was convened this morning in front of the Governor’s Office, in the presence of a large number of workers. The workers then marched to the Shush Labour Office and chanted slogans against the embezzlers and the private sector in front of the Shush Labour Office.

The following are the most important demands of the striking workers:

Immediate payment of unpaid wages and renewal of insurance booklets.
Immediate reinstatement of all sacked workmates.
Immediate arrest of Asadbeigi and life sentences for Asadbeigi and Rostami.*
Divest Haft Tappeh’s fraudster employer and the private sector.
Return all embezzled wealth to the workers.
End retired managers’ employment.
