Iranian regime shoots at young jobseekers in Gachsaran and Ahvaz!

Ahvaz jobseekers shot at by Iranian regime’s thug

On August 31st, a group of jobseekers in Gachsaran held a protest outside the recently opened Lishtar refinery in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, southwestern Iran. The protest turned violent when the Iranian regime’s goons intervened to break up the protest against Lishtar refinery’s biased hiring policies that overlook locals.

In a video obtained by HRANA, the blood-soaked regime’s security forces can be seen shooting at young jobseekers to disperse them. Some sources also report that one person was injured during the shooting, but this has not been verified.

On the same day – Monday, August 31st – a group of young jobseekers from the villages of Moran and Amishieh Bozorg gathered in front of the Dabal Khazaei Sugarcane Company. They were protesting against its prejudiced recruitment policies that exclude locals. The Dabal Khazaei Sugarcane Company is in Ahvaz, Khuzestan province, southwestern Iran.

A video of the protest shows the Iranian regime’s thugs beating the young jobseekers and shooting to disperse them. One of the protesters said: “These young people are all hungry, no one will hire us … We want work.”

So far, no further details have been released about the number of injured or arrested at this protest.
