Earlier today hundreds of Haft Tappeh Sugar Cane workers protested against the arrests of four of their representatives.

Ebrahim Abbasi Monjazi, Yusef Bahmani, Hamid Mombini and Masoud Heyvari were arrested on Thursday October 29th.
The arrests are part of a wide campaign of brutal and cruel campaign of harassment and intimidation by the bosses and the Iranian regime’s capitalist state apparatus (the security forces, the Intelligence Ministry, the judiciary, the government, parliament, provincial and local politicians, religious figures and the media).
The Shahrokh Zamani Action Campaign strongly condemns this latest move by the Iranian regime in obstructing the Haft Tappeh workers’ struggle to revoke privatisation and demand the immediate and unconditional release of the reps. We call on all trade unionists and socialists to support the Haft Tappeh and many other strikes and struggles in Iran that will ultimately lead to a general strike in Iran.
