Support for the call for a general strike in Kurdistan

We call for mass support for the call for a general strike in Kurdistan against the plan to execute Pakhshan Azizi and Varshieh Moradi.

We, the Kurdistan Fraction of the Iranian Revolutionary Marxists’ Tendency, support the call for a general strike in Kurdistan against the death sentences of Varisheh Moradi and Pakhshan Azizi.

In order to cover up its endless weaknesses and fearing the imminent uprising of the oppressed and enraged masses in Iran, the criminal and inhumane regime of the Islamic Republic has once again resorted to the policy of creating fear in society through the means of execution. The confirmation of the death sentences of the children of toilers, Pakhshan Azizi, Varisheh Moradi, Behrouz Ehsani, Mehdi Hassani, Mojahed Korkor, Abbas Daris, and Mehrab Abdollahzadeh, is another sign of the fear, weakness, and severe internal and external pressures that the Islamic Republic is facing today. The regime is struggling and thrashing about under the conditions that its policies in various fields have created for it, and it is sinking rapidly and is on the verge of collapse. 

The historical experience of the fall of authoritarian dictators around the world has shown that in the final moments of their fall, they have the illusion of power and take revenge more brutally.

They are like a wounded snake that thrashes about to save itself, even so, as history testifies, they do not understand that these desperate efforts not only do not prevent their inevitable downfall but also hasten it and bring it closer.

These criminals are oblivious to the fact that these policies no longer work and are finished. The wheel of the Islamic Republic’s downfall has been set in motion and there is no stopping it. Every new crime adds to the ignominy of this regime, does not help its survival, and makes its downfall more certain. The executioners should know that the day of their punishment is not far off and that eventually they will pay the price for their crimes in the revolutionary court of the oppressed and exploited masses.

Today’s situation is not like the 1980s, when, relying on the ignorance and illusions of the masses, it was possible to hand over the children of workers and toilers to firing squads and not fear any accountability. Today, society is watching your every action and recording the names of each and every of the regime’s criminals in the accountability books. So be vigilant.

The Kurdistan Fraction of the Iranian Revolutionary Marxists’ Tendency, while unquestioningly supporting all the dear people who have been sentenced to death, along with the rest of the forces and institutions, civil and revolutionary organisations of Kurdistan, this bastion of resistance and struggle, calls on everyone to participate actively in the general strike to once again demonstrate the hollowness of this regime and the determination of Kurdistan’s oppressed people’s to defend their children, Pakhshan Azizi, Varisheh Moradi, and all the dear people who are on death row.

Our organised and unified movement in all areas will guarantee our victory. By joining this general strike, let us once again show the inhumane regime of the Islamic Republic that even if a star falls from our sky today, that with every passing day, this sky will be filled with more stars. Our tomorrow is bright and your tomorrow is destruction and overthrow.
