Reza Shahabi released on five days’ medical leave

Reza Shahabi, a member of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the Tehran and Suburbs Vahed Bus Company, was released on medical leave earlier today, February 8th.

While in prison – even though he has finished his sentence! – Mr Shahabi has had two strokes.

The Shahrokh Zamani Action Campaign sends its best wishes to Reza Shahabi, his family and fellow activists and workers of the Vahed Bus Company. As the Vahed workers said earlier this week: “A worker’s place is not in jail. Free Shahabi.” Reza Shahabi’s place is with his fellow workers and his family.

Free all jailed workers and labour activists now!
