Seyed Rasoul Taleb Moghadam: Vahed Bus Company trade unionist flogged 74 times!

Earlier today Seyed Rasoul Taleb Moghadam, a member of the Trade Union of the Tehran and Suburbs Vahed Bus Company and one of the detainees of the 2019 International Workers’ Day demonstrations, was compelled to present himself at Evin Court for his sentences to be carried out. This followed days of repeated threats to seize his bail bond.

As soon as Seyed Rasoul Taleb Moghadam, a retired trade unionist of the Trade Union of the Tehran and Suburbs Vahed Bus Company, entered the building his sentence of 74 lashes was carried out. His injured body was then transferred to Evin Prison’s quarantine area.

The Shahrokh Zamani Action Campaign strongly condemns this barbaric and medieval act. We call on all trade unionists, socialists and other political activists to help us in defending the rights of Seyed Rasoul Taleb Moghadam and all workers, social rights’ activists and political prisoners in Iran.

Free Seyed Rasoul Taleb Moghadam now!
