Sepideh Gholian has been freed.
Sepideh Gholian is a student, social rights’ activists and journalist who was arrested on November 18th while she was supporting and reporting on the strike of the Haft Tappeh Sugar Cane Workers. Since her illegal detention Sepideh Gholian has been beaten and tortured inside the Iranian regime’s dungeons.
Sepideh Gholian was freed earlier today after a 500 million toman ($119,000) bail was paid. Any bail set by the Iranian regime for the release of Ms Gholian and other social and labour activists is an absolute outrage, since they have not committed any crime other than defending the rights of workers and the exploited and oppressed masses of Iran.
