Esmail Bakhshi’s family demand his release

On Wednesday February 20th, and again on Saturday February 23rd, the family of Esmail Bakhshi protested outside the Shush Prosecutor’s Office.

On Saturday Esmail Bakhshi’s family was joined by several Haft Tappeh workers concerned about their rep’s wellbeing.

For over a month Esmail Bakhshi and Sepideh Gholian have been held in solitary confinement in order to force them to make false confessions and to incriminate themselves. Outside prison, their families have been threatened and put under pressure.

The Shahrokh Zamani Action Campaign strongly condemns the brutal treatment of Esmail Bakhshi, Sepideh Gholian, Ali Nejati and all other Haft Tappeh workers, activists and their families. All Haft Tappeh workers and activists must be freed immediately and unconditionally. We call on all trade unionists, socialists and other political activists to help us in defending the rights of all workers, social rights’ activists and political prisoners in Iran.
