Harassment of Haft Tappeh workers, supporters and family members

The Haft Tappeh workers’ independent channel on Telegram has published a list of workers, supporters and family members who have been arrested, interrogated, as well as intimidated and harassed in other ways during the struggles of the Haft Tappeh Sugar Cane Workers’ Union. The list even includes people who happened to be guests in workers’ homes when they were raided by the police, Intelligence Ministry or other authorities of the Iranian regime.

They include: Esmail Bakhshi, Ali Nejati, Mohammad Khanifar, Omid Azadi, Emad Kasir, Mahmoud Saedi, Mehdi Davoudi, Moslem Armand, Azim Sorkheh, Salamat Nia, Pouya Bashmeh, Said Mansouri, Khaled Tamimi, Jalil Ahmadi, Said Al-Kasir, Hassan (Mohsen) Fazeli, Samir Ahmadi, Alizadeh, Saheb Zahiri, Nasser Nami, Kianinejad, Aref Jamili, Feisal Salebi, Hassan Kohanki, Ghasem Baladi, Adel Samai, Rostam Kasir, Hossein Ansari, Rostam Abdollahzadeh, Seyyed Esmail Jallooh, Mohammad Omidvar and others.

Supporters or family members of the Haft Tappeh Sugar Cane workers who have been jailed or interrogated are: Sepideh Gholian, Amir Amirgholi, Asal Mohammadi, Sanaz Allahyari, Amir-Hossein Mohammadifard, Mehdi Gholian, Peyman Nejati, Majid Roayaee and Shahin Pishahang.

The Shahrokh Zamani Action Campaign strongly condemns the intimidation and harassment of the Haft Tappeh workers and their supporters and family. We call on all trade unionists, socialists and other political activists to help us in defending the rights of all workers, social rights’ activists and political prisoners in Iran.
