The following is a statement published on the Voice of Iran’s Oil Workers Telegram channel.

The forty-fifth day of oil workers’ strike in 112 refineries, petrochemical centres and power plants in 35 cities
The nationwide strike of contract workers in the oil and petrochemical industries, which began on June 19th in protest against low wages and difficult working conditions, continues on Monday, August 2, for the forty-fifth consecutive day.
The strike of the contract workers has so far spread to refineries, petrochemical industries, power plants and facilities related to the oil industry in the cities of Tehran, Arak, Esfahan, Ahvaz, Abadan, Mahshahr, Jask, Asaluyeh, Gachsaran and others.
