Neda Naji was one of the dozens of protesters arrested on May Day 2019 outside the Iranian regime’s parliament. One hundred and ninety days after International Workers’ Day she is still in detention!
Neda Naji is a student and workers’ rights activists. She is also an actor who played the Russian Anarchist Valentia in the dramatisation of Emma Goldman’s Living My Life.
The Shahrokh Zamani Action Campaign strongly condemns the arrest and continuing detention of Neda Naji and other activists and supporters of the labour movement in Iran and calls for the immediate and unconditional release of all workers and activists arrested on May Day 2019 and those who have supported the strikes of the Haft Tappeh workers. We call on all trade unionists, socialists and other political activists to help us in defending the rights of all workers, social rights’ activists and political prisoners in Iran.
