Sepideh Gholian is now on hunger strike!
Sepideh Gholian went on hunger strike on the morning of Saturday 3rd August 2019. She will be on hunger strike until her trial on July 27th. She is protesting against the way the Iranian regime’s authorities have treated her and her parents, as well as the several prison transfers. She is now in Gharchak prison, about 800km from home. Harassment of Haft Tappeh workers, supporters and family members
The Haft Tappeh workers’ independent channel on Telegram has published a list of workers, supporters and family members who have been arrested, interrogated, as well as intimidated and harassed in other ways during the struggles of the Haft Tappeh Sugar Cane Workers’ Union. The list even includes people who happened to be guests in workers’ homes when they were raided by the police, Intelligence Ministry or other authorities of the Iranian regime. Continue reading

Most Haft Tappeh workers freed
According to a report publicised by the Haft Tappeh Sugar Cane Workers’ Union on May 19th, all Haft Tappeh workers who were arrested during the past few days while protesting in or near the sugar complex have now been released on bail.
